Kilver Court October 13th 2014

I have been possibly Roger Saul’s most devoted fan since I bought the most beautiful belt back in the early seventies - in fact that belt was so admired that I wore it for years and years until it finally fell apart - but I loved it and can still feel the leather and see the buckle and feel the feeling of slipping it through the loops of my Levi jeans - mmmmmmm!!

The next purchase was a bag - a very small messenger bag, worn cross body . More bags over the years including a prized chocolate brown crocodile Kenya bag, various travelling holdalls and a wheelie suitcase, a trunk, wallets and even a phone case and many more belts including my still favourite to date, the iconic Mulberry plaited brown with simple brass buckle.

I have three more modern bags - two Bayswaters and a recently purchased Tessie tote - the list goes on.

Roger Saul is the completely amazing man who founded Mulberry, who had the vision of combining a quirky stylish English eccentric look to country style clothing for super chic city dwellers, handbags, travel accessories, leather goods, shoes and interiors  - all made in his famous Bath factory using only the very finest  English leathers.

All this is history and since his exit from Mulberry Roger and his gorgeous family have built and developed the absolute best Outlet Village in the United Kingdom - Kilver Court.

Completely different to Bicester Village - Kilver Court has huge style, architectural charm and historical beauty - award winning gardens, stunning surrounding scenery and built with love by a family focused on design, style and character.

Kilver Court houses iconic fashion brands such as Joseph, Pringle of Scotland, Mulberry, LK Bennett, Jack Wills, Agnes b, Orla Kiely, Toast, Chinti and Parker and from next week onwards FRENCH SOLE!!!

We were so thrilled that Freddie, Roger and Monty Saul  asked us to visit Kilver Court to see if we might like to take a space  there - we had a Pop Up shop at Bicester Village which was very successful and we were considering going back there with a larger permanent store - but Kilver Court proved to be a much more exciting retail environment - a really inspiring shopping destination for value hunters, looking for bargain labels but wanting to shop in a more relaxed, stylish and informal manner. There are plenty of organic food stores and the most exquisite restaurant The Harlequin, serving local organic foods and a delicious traditional English  tea shop with scones and cream!!!

Well we will be joining the Saul family at Kilver Court and offering lots of shopping -day treats for French Sole customers who subscribe to our facebook page and on this site I will be offering a personal shopping voucher for £500 to be spent at Kilver Court, so watch this space… Kilver Court here we come!!!
